OUTLINE:

2Co 9:15
Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

The Ancient Truth
The Gospel transcends human history as we think of it, for it was planned by God from eternity past. God has always known that His creatures would fall and that He would save them. There was never a time where salvation wasn’t an option, for God is immutable. And the Son of God has always wanted to die for us (Heb 13:8).

The Ancient Truth
Jesus Christ has always been our Lord and Savior. He IS that Person of the Godhead, uniquely, as the Son of God and Son of Man. He owns all the titles, including Victor, and deserves every last ounce of love/respect He demands from us. (Ro 5:17)

Ro 5:17 [Amplified Classic]
For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Fitness is a mindset.

Charles Spurgeon
Learn this lesson: not to trust Christ because you repent, but trust Christ to make you repent; not to come to Christ because you have a broken heart, but to come to Him that He may give you a broken heart;...

Charles Spurgeon (cont.)
...not to come to Him because you are fit to come, but to come to Him because you are unfit to come. Your fitness is your unfitness. Your qualification is your lack of qualification.

Ro 4:25
He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification. [the resurrection of Jesus Christ was proof that God had accepted His sacrifice, that God would be just in justifying the ungodly]

Christ’s Resurrection
The resurrection of Jesus is our proof that He overcame death, itself. Death had no hold on Him; therefore, He is victorious over it, as are we, being baptized into union with Him at salvation.

“pitied”
from eleeinos - pitiable, wretched; in great need of mercy (because desperate); in context, our only hope is null/void

“steadfast
from hedraios - properly, sit (solidly-based, well-seated); (figuratively) steadfast (firm), morally fixed; firm in purpose (mind); "well-stationed" (securely positioned), not given to fluctuation or "moving off course.”

“immovable”
from ametakinetos - properly, without movement or change of status (location).

Victory in Jesus
by E. M. Bartlett
I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory.

Victory in Jesus
by E. M. Bartlett
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,

Victory in Jesus
by E. M. Bartlett

I heard about His healing,
Of His cleansing pow'r revealing.
How He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, "Dear Jesus,
Come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came and bro't
To me the victory.

I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there
The song of victory.
