  • MY CHILDREN ARE OUT OF CONTROL…

    • Deuteronomy 6:6-7 These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
    • Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
    • Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother
    • Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

  • THERE ARE GOING TO BE LAYOFFS AT WORK AND MY JOB IS ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK…
    • Luke 12:22-31 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.”
    • James 4:13-15 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”
  • MY FATHER/MOTHER-IN-LAW INTERFERES WITH MY MARRIAGE…
    • Genesis 2:24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
    • Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
    • Matthew 10:34-37 Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW; and A MAN’S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
  • MY BOSS IS UNFAIR TO ME AND SHOWS PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT TO THOSE HE LIKES…
    • Proverbs 24:23 These also are sayings of the wise. To show partiality in judgment is not good.
    • Ephesians 6:5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
    • 1 Peter 2:19 For God is pleased with you when you do what you know is right and patiently endure unfair treatment.
  • MY SUBORDINATES ARE LAZY AND I CONSTANTLY HAVE TO CORRECT THEM AND THEY HATE ME FOR IT…
    • Galatians 4:16 So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?
    • Colossians 3:22-4:1 Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality. Masters, grant to your slaves justice and fairness, knowing that you too have a Master in heaven.
    • 1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
  • MY HUSBAND DOES NOT HELP AROUND THE HOUSE - HE GOES TO WORK AND THEN GOES OUT AND DRINKS WITH THE BOYS…
    • Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
    • 1 Peter 3:1 Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,
  • MY WIFE IS SUCH A NAG AND IF I DON’T ACQUIESCE TO HER DEMANDS, SHE WITHOLDS SEX…
    • 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
    • Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
    • Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

    • Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
    • Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
  • I AM TEASED AT SCHOOL FOR BEING A VIRGIN AND NONE OF THE BOYS WILL DATE ME BECAUSE OF IT…
    • 1 Timothy 4:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
    • 1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
  • I HAVE BEEN DATING THIS GUY FOR 6 MONTHS NOW AND WE LOVE EACH OTHER. WE HAVE NOT HAD SEX BUT HAVE COME CLOSE…
    • Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
    • 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
  • I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY THE BILLS THIS MONTH…
    • 2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.
    • Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
    • 2Thessalonians 3:10-12 For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either. For we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies. Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ to work in quiet fashion and eat their own bread.
  • SHOULD I PAY TAXES WHEN REVENUE IS USED FOR GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS THAT I BELIEVE ARE UNBIBLICAL?
    • Matthew 22:17-21 “Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?”  But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they replied. Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
    • Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
  • DOES GOD HAVE AN APPOINTED PASTOR FOR ME?
    • Jeremiah 3:15 “Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding"
    • Hebrews 13:17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.
  • IS IT IMPORTANT THAT I READ MY OWN BIBLE?
    • Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit,
    • joints and marrow: it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
    • Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
    • Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
  • I WAS EXPECTING WORLDLY BLESSINGS WHEN I BECAME A BELIEVER - WHERE’S THE GOODS?
    • Matthew 6:19-21 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
    • Psalm 119:72 The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
  • WHY IS THERE SO MUCH EVIL IN THIS WORLD (COUNTRY)?
    • 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
    • Romans 3:10-18 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
    • Romans 1:21-25 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

    • Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—A time to give birth and a time to die;

    • Psalm 139:7-10 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
    • Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.

    • Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

    • 1Corinthians 13:4-8a Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
    • Romans 1:26-27 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
  • THERE IS NO “PROOF” THAT GOD EXISTS. WHY SHOULD I BELIEVE?
    • Psalm 14:1 Only fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!
    • Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
    • Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
  • DOES GOD STILL HEAL IN THIS DAY AND AGE?
    • Luke 1:37 For nothing will be impossible with God.
    • James 5:14-16 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
  • I’M A BELIEVER NOW BUT I MADE SOME BAD DECISIONS WHEN I WAS AN UNBELIEVER THAT HAVE AFFECTED WHERE I AM TODAY. AM I STILL IN “THE PLAN” OR DO I HAVE TO TAKE CORRECTIVE ACTION TO GET BACK INTO IT?
    • 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
    • Colossians 1:13-14 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
    • Lamentations 3:22-23 The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
  • IF GOD IS LOVE, WHY DO WE HAVE SICKNESS AND PAIN IN OUR BODIES?
    • Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—
    • Romans 7:24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
    • 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
    • James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
    • Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
  • I WANT TO BE RESPECTFUL OF AUTHORITY (HUSBAND, BOSS, PASTOR), BUT I AM UPSET AND WANT TO SHARE MY FEELINGS. IS THIS OKAY?
    • Philippians 4:4-9 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
    • Galatians 6:1-10 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another. For each one will bear his own load. The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
  • I’M A BIBLE-BASED BELIEVER, BUT I’M BEING TAUGHT ABOUT DINOSAURS, CARBON DATED EARTH (OLD EARTH), AND EVOLUTION IN A PUBLIC UNIVERSITY OR GRADE SCHOOL. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?

    • Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
  • IF GOD ALREADY KNOWS AND WANTS TO DO GOOD FOR PEOPLE, THEN WHY DO WE HAVE TO PRAY?
    • Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
    • Mark 11:24-25 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
    • Luke 6:12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.
    • Romans 8:26-27 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. • Colossians 4:1 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
    • James 1:5-7 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. • John 8:24 “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
    • John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
    • 1 John 4:15-17 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.
