Ps 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

The Value of Confession
A stubborn person who refuses good counsel is only harming themselves.

Arrogance is unteachable.

Ro 1:32 [Amplified Classic]
Though they are fully aware of God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them.

“greedy”
from pleonexia - means the desire for more (things), i.e. lusting for a greater number of temporal things that go beyond what God determines is eternally best (beyond His preferred-will); usage: covetousness, avarice, aggression, desire for advantage [Strong’s]

“to practice”
from ergasia - refers to working, activity, work, service, trade, business, gains of business, performance, practice.

Ps 32:10
Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD.

Ps 32:3-4
For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah

Jn 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

“a man after my heart”
David owns this designation because he was humble and repentant, knowing his sins were preeminently against the holy, sovereign, righteous God of the Universe. His life was a confession, a testimony, a witness.

A believer’s good conscience will not allow them to rejoice in sin.

The Value of Truth
The Word of Truth is a double-edged sword (Heb 4:12). If you’re oriented to God, you are blessed with peace; if not, you are cursed with unrest.

Mt 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Mt 7:7
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Jn 17:17
“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”

Jn 8:32
“and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
