OUTLINE:

Balance Statement
We are not strictly evangelizing every moment of every day; rather, our direction is set, and it points to eternal life, inviting/encouraging others to join us in our joy.

Perspective
Our job, as soldiers for Christ, is to OBEY! (e.g. 1Pe 1:14-16; 1Jn 5:1-4)

The Blessing Of Humility
- "with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves" (Php 2:3)
"It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Ac 20:35)

Lacking Humility
Unfortunately, many so-called "Christian" churches are designed to glorify individuals who walk through the doors, with that being the end of the ministry. People are praised for simply doing as they OUGHT to do!!! (e.g. Lk 17:7-10)

Perspective
When you look in the mirror, the glory you ought to be looking for is Christ in you, not whatever it is you've "made of yourself". The prior is godly sanctification, the latter worldly.

Perspective
The greatest "mirror" we've ever been given is the Word of God!

Instead of SUCCESS being viewed as being a faithful follower of Christ FIRST, (and then God will provide you the job, family, and gifts in life)... it's presented backwards.

Chances Are…
If you’re depressed, you’re too focused on yourself. One of the greatest fruits of self-absorption is depression.

Instead of being burdened by self, you can be set free by humbly serving others!
Jas 1:22-27

Only intently looking into the mirror of the Word of God, and doing it, can deliver our souls from such lies and misery.

The Lord is our Great Physician. While there’s no shortage of so-called “remedies” for mental distress in this world, there’s only one final authority on the topic - God.

"Self“Esteem?
The world says you derive your self esteem from self. The Word says you derive your self esteem from Christ.

We are no longer subject to the old life, our old seed has died with Christ and has been buried. 1Co 15
