• WELCOME

    “But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

    1 Timothy 1:5

  • Part 2 - Why Are the Apostles So Encouraging? - Jesus Chose Them

    In light of 1Th 5:16-18 (and a multitude of scripture), we must think of prayer as an integral part of the whole. Without prayer, the whole could not exist/function. Rejoicing, praying, and thanksgiving are borne of one root, therefore they increase/exist simultaneously.

  • Resurrection Is the Lynchpin of The Gospel

    Assuming there is no resurrection, we’d have nothing to look forward to (even Jesus would still be in the grave, not seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven).

  • Part 1: Introduction - Why Are the Apostles So Encouraging?

    Jesus' parables are unlocked, not by intellect, but by honest pursuit of the Truth. The Holy Spirit will reveal said truth to those with "ears" to hear with (Mt 13:9). The apostles prove this.

Good Stewards

Perspective gives us the strength and ability to fight in order to keep our bearings, to keep heading true north, and to the surprise of some, to sleep in the bow of the ship when it’s time to rest.

Why Don't They "Get It"?!!!

Our job, as evangelists, is to avoid the trap of arguing from a dead man’s perspective.

KIDS' CORNER: The Good News

The Bible tells us that it is the believer’s job in this life to tell others the Good News. It is a part of every believer’s “Great Commission”, given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself.

A Punch To the Throat

It’s true, I have spikes of anger that boil over into words that seem a bit over the top. But am I the only viable pastor that has ever done such a thing? May I find encouragement somewhere in the Bible? The answer, thank God, is “yes”.

Daily Perspective

  • Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

  • Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
    Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
    Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
    (Isaiah 5:20)

  • "Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you." - Psalm 86:11 (NLT)

  • "Therefore brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Co 15:58)

  • "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses." (2 Co 10:3-4)
