Possessing God’s Promises
At salvation, you “own” His promises. At spiritual maturity, you “possess” them.
Opening Your Eyes To Truth
Opening your eyes begins with setting a course and maintaining a spiritual vector - but it requires something that will last - a positive attitude.
Options
Given the fact that we all possess a free will, every day is a day of decision-making for or against the will of God.
The Spiritual Life
The Bible never states that taking “possession” of Truth and then spending it on life is ever going to be without resistance from the KoD.

Owning vs. Possessing
At salvation, we are rightful owners of many promises from God, but we do not “possess” them all at that time. We must move “to faith”, be set apart experientially, grow to spiritual maturity, in order to become intimated.
Experiential Sanctification is:

For this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living)
Yielding
Sanctified means to be set apart, to be holy, consecrated to God; this can only happen through residence, function, and momentum inside the DPG.
