Historical Record of Demon Activity
The Bible records increased demon activity during specific times in history:
- The 1st Advent of TLJC (Rev 12:1-5)
- The Tribulation Period (Mat 24:4-28; Rev 6-19)
- The End of the Millennium (Rev 20:7-10)
Hades Compartments
- Paradise (Luke 16:22)
- Torments (Luke 16:23)
- Tartarus (2Pe 2:4; Gen 6)
- The Abyss (Rev 9:1-12)
Luke 16:22
“Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried.”
Luke 16:23
“In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom.”
Jude 6
And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness [Tartarus] for the judgment of the great day,
Rev 9:1-2
Then the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit.
Hades Compartments
- Paradise (Luke 16:22)
- Torments (Luke 16:23)
- Tartarus (2Pe 2:4; Gen 6)
- The Abyss (Rev 9:1-12)
Rejecting Christ
Even under perfect leadership (TLJC), people will join Satan’s army to oppose “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6) while manifest in the flesh!
The Power of Faith
God doesn’t need numbers, only faith! By faith, Gideon defeated the Midianites “as numerous as locusts” with only 300 soldiers! (Judges 7)
Faith Asserts HIS Power
Faith says that any opposition to a person who is fulfilling the plan of God for their lives is actually in opposition to the Lord, Himself!
Courage
- Courage is really nothing more than applied faith.
- If we have faith, then it is implied that we have courage!
Victory Demands Leadership
Someone must always be willing to step out on faith when beckoned by the Commander-in-chief, our Lord. If He calls on you, then His authority and power have already been vested in you for victory. Faith must answer the call.
Joshua’s Leadership Example
- Humble: he knew he wasn’t Moses
- Authority-Oriented: he was a tremendous follower first
- Faithful: he had integrity to the Word
- Strategist: he possessed sound military prowess
- Practical: he was a sound, dynamic administrator
Humility
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
Josh. 3:7 Now the LORD said to Joshua, “This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you.
Josh 5:14-15
He said, “No; rather I indeed come now as captain of the host of the LORD.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down, and said to him, “What has my lord to say to his servant?” The captain of the LORD’S host said to Joshua, “Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.
Josh 8:35
There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded which Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel with the women and the little ones and the strangers who were living among them.
Josh 8:7
“And you shall rise from your ambush and take possession of the city, for the LORD your God will deliver it into your hand.”
Joshua’s Leadership Example
- Humble: he knew he wasn’t Moses
- Authority-Oriented: he was a tremendous follower first
- Faithful: he had integrity to the Word
- Strategist: he possessed sound military prowess
- Practical: he was a sound, dynamic administrator
Victory Demands Leadership
Someone must always be willing to step out on faith when beckoned by the Commander-in-chief, our Lord. If He calls on you, then His authority and power have already been vested in you for victory. Faith must answer the call.
Thought Leadership
We all are potentially thought-leaders once we have enough BD circulating in the soul to share sound wisdom in time of need.
Gog and Magog Revolution
As soon as Satan is released from prison, he goes back to earth, this being called Satan’s 2nd Advent. His 1st Advent was in Gen 3:1-5 in the Garden of Eden.
Satan’s 1st & 2nd Advents
In both advents, Satan he finds perfect environment on earth and conspires to destroy it. In his 1st Advent, he was successful; in his 2nd Advent, he fails.
Gog & Magog
Gog refers to the leader of the revolution, namely Satan. Magog refers to the followers of the revolution, the members of the army.
Satan’s Desperation
Satan is cast out of Heaven to the earth halfway through the Tribulation period. (Rev 12:13)
The Spiritual Vector of Evil
Evil always reduces options in life. The longer a person remains in an evil SoT, the more options are choked off during their lives. The ultimate destination for all things evil, of course, is the Lake of Fire.
OSN’s in the Millennium
The fact that OSN’s will exist as a result of surviving Tribulation saints entering into the Millennium means that sin/evil will still exist.
Implacability
There will always be certain people in this world that simply MUST find something to complain about, otherwise they aren’t satisfied.
Satan’s Devices
The log of revolution often begins with a splinter of discontent.
Pent-Up Frustration
The Millennium poses a challenge to the flesh because it won’t offer a cosmic system to cater to the sins of the flesh. Therefore, after 1,000 years of this, unbelievers will be “ripe” for revolution (ala Gog/Magog).
Global Rebellion
The fact that Satan is able “to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth” reveals the general, cancerous nature of the flesh and it’s malcontent as a result of being minus a relationship with God.
The Insatiable Flesh
The flesh cannot be satisfied. If it has never been satiated by the very best that God has to offer, then why would it ever be satiated with anything less? (eg: all things are less than God => the flesh remains miserably unstatisfied!).
Our God of Integrity
In the end, God’s integrity grants the flesh precisely what it has always desired, separation from Him, however the penalty is that separation from Him means the Lake of Fire.
The Power of Choice
When the facts are clearly presented, and a person makes the wrong choice, the goodness of honoring that decision should never be sullied by the badness of the results.
