The Doctrine of Idolatry – Part 79: Spiritual Adultery With Demons – Part 40
January 20, 2012

OUTLINE:

The Anchor of Our Faith
Do you realize how important the Gospel is to you, even as a so-called doctrinal believer? Everything that you are that’s good, everything that you could ever hope to be that is good, every promise from God regarding such things - all of these things are based on the Cross!

Tribulation Evangelism
  • The 144,000 Jews (Rev 7:4-8)
  • Their converts (Rev 7:9-17)
  • The two witnesses (Rev 11:3-14)
  • The angel with the everlasting gospel (Rev 14:6-7)

“the eternal gospel”
in context points to the fact that eternity is close at hand; final judgment is also in view (Rev 14:6)

Nation, Tribes, Peoples, and Tongues
Refers to the removal of the following barriers to evangelism (Rev 7:9; 14:6):
  • National (nation)
  • Racial (tribes)
  • Social (peoples)
  • Linguistics (tongues)

Our God of Integrity
The whole world will be evangelized in a concentrated manner in order to uphold the divine integrity of God. The Baptism of Fire is at the end of the Tribulation, which assignment to is only fair if the Gospel is available first.

The Eternal Gospel
The eternal Gospel includes everything pertaining to the work of Christ on the Cross. The emphasis from the angel in Rev 14:6-7 is from the standpoint of divine judgment and upon the strength of the Creator, the same Person who died on the Cross.

“loud voice”
from megas phone – refers to the acoustics of the herald angel; his voice will be as loud as thunder; Satan is described in eternity past to have a voice like a pipe organ

Proclaiming the Gospel
The herald angel will announce the Gospel at high noon in each time zone, adjusting languages as appropriate.

Fear God
Fear of God here is with respect to His right to judge. This fear is a healthy fear because it is based on perfect righteousness and justice (I+).

John 5:22-23
“For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

Col 1:16-17
For by Him [TLJC] all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Last Call!
The angelic herald preaching the “eternal gospel” in Rev 14:6 is making a final call for all those in the Tribulation before it’s too late! (ref: Baptism of Fire)

Tribulation Evangelism
  • The 144,000 Jews (Rev 7:4-8)
  • Their converts (Rev 7:9-17)

Historical Record of Demon Activity
The Bible records increased demon activity during specific times in history:
  • The 1st Advent of TLJC (Rev 12:1-5)
  • The Tribulation Period (Mat 24:4-28; Rev 6-19)
  • The End of the Millennium (Rev 20:7-10)

Rev 20:5 [reordered]
This is the first resurrection. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed.

Rejecting Christ
Even under perfect leadership (TLJC), people will join Satan’s army to oppose “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6) while manifest in the flesh!

No Army
There won’t be an established army during the Millennium, so when Satan deceives the nations and creates an army opposing Christ, there’s no human army to defend the believers!

Divine Protection
As occurred with Moses, the Lord will deliver believers from the threat of danger. Exo 14:14 “The LORD will fight for you while you keep silent.”

Our Lord’s Victories
Our battles, whether large or small, are won before they are even begun because they are not ours to win, but rather our Lord’s. We simply exercise faith in this Truth in order to be delivered from our battles.

The Victor’s Battle Cry
Gideon’s army cried, “a sword for the Lord” signifying the reality of Who’s weapon was drawn against the Midianites – the Lord’s.

Gog and Magog Revolution
As soon as Satan is released from prison, he goes back to earth, this being called Satan’s 2nd Advent. His 1st Advent was in Gen 3:1-5 in the Garden of Eden.

Satan’s 1st & 2nd Advents
In both advents, Satan he finds perfect environment on earth and conspires to destroy it. In his 1st Advent, he was successful; in his 2nd Advent, he fails.

Gog & Magog
Gog refers to the leader of the revolution, namely Satan. Magog refers to the followers of the revolution, the members of the army.

The Effects of Evil
Evil always reduces options in life.

OSN’s in the Millennium
The fact that OSN’s will exist as a result of surviving Tribulation saints entering into the Millennium means that sin/evil will still exist.

Implacability
There will always be certain people in this world that simply MUST find something to complain about, otherwise they aren’t satisfied.

Satan’s Devices
The log of revolution often begins with a splinter of discontent.
