We Are Commanded To Love for Our Own Protection
January 5, 2012

OUTLINE:

Self-Induced Bondage
You sacrifice your own freedom every time you choose your own expectations over God’s.

Seek and You Shall Find
God promises that the Word will be available at all times to those who diligently seek Truth.

Finding Freedom
Both men and angels understand that freedom lies within the Word of God. That freedom is gated by salvation because the unregenerate man is minus a functioning human spirit.

Spiritual Blindness
The ONLY spiritual phenomenon an unbeliever can understand is the Gospel through “common grace”. Mystery doctrine will remain merely academic at best until they are saved and they receive a functioning human spirit that CAN understand spiritual phenomena.

The Gospel In the Crosshairs
Satan and his demons are VERY well aware of the Truth regarding the “door” (John 10:1-18) of salvation and so their greatest attacks will always be on the Gospel.

LOVE!!!

1Jo 4:8
The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In other words, godly, virtue love is unattainable/unknowable to the individual that doesn’t “know” God. To know God is to know His Word.

Separate Planes
Individuals minus Truth (Word of God) are indeed loved by God (Joh 3:16), however they do not function experientially in the sphere of His love. This holds true for both the unbeliever and carnal believer.

Setting Expectations
One of the very first principles of deliverance for the advancing believer is accepting the fact that living the spiritual life means separating from what the majority in the world cling to.

If They Persecuted Him…
If man can accuse TLJC of being demon-possessed and insane, then why would an advancing Christian expect NOT to be attacked?

Evil Hates Truth (John 3:20)
Evil doesn’t like being exposed because it loses its power. Evil’s power is rooted in darkness constructed of lies. Truth shines light into darkness, exposing evil by equipping the saints with divine viewpoint.

Integrity
To say you love someone and then compromise your doctrine to accommodate their evil SoT because you do not wish to “offend” them is a contradiction.

Hypocritical Love
  • Proclaiming something and then not thinking/doing it
  • Thinking/doing something and then not proclaiming it

Virtue Love
  • Proclaiming something and then thinking/doing it
  • Thinking/doing something and then proclaiming it

Love Is Good
The Word calls us to love the way God loves because love is the great source of power/motivation. Love is much more powerful than evil, however it must be expressed with divine integrity for it to be good.

Integrity
Caring for others must be on plane with the manner in which God, Himself, cares for His children.

Bad Reality
The Kosmos will try to re-spin “reality” such that anything that offends its false doctrines is deemed “bad”, when really it is good!

Reality (dictionary.com)
being an actual thing; having objective existence; not imaginary

Your reality is your doctrine.

One True Reality
The closer we get to “seeing it all as truth”, the closer we get to partaking in God’s reality.

One True Reality
True reality includes the acknowledgement of sin and evil in this world. To deny this truth is to deny reality.

No Immunity
When we lose sight of that reality, we, too, act like psychotics!

Make the Distinction
There are those with divine perspective who choose to function outside of reality and there are those who have LOST divine perspective and therefore a grip on reality (psychosis).

“does not have God”
Refers to not operating in the one true reality that is God’s to give through the study of the Word.

The Great Error
Consensus on a subject does NOT constitute reality!

John 15:12
“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.”

The Command to Love
Our Great Shepherd commands that we love one another because He is protecting His sheep! Virtue love protects the POSSESSOR of it! 1Cor. 13:8 Love never fails (you)!
