• WELCOME

“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

    1 Timothy 1:5

  • Part 25: The "Difficult" Passages - Grace and Works

    Obedience Leads To Freedom
If you continue in His Word, the truth will set you free (Jn 8:31-32). This is especially true when you are a DOER of the truth; it will set you free (deliver you) in your daily walk (Gal 6:9-10, Jam 1:25). "You will reap" and "you will be blessed".

  • KIDS' CORNER: Love Your Enemies!

Luke 6:27:31 Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.

Does this sound familiar? It’s often called the “Golden Rule”. How do you want people to treat you? Do you want others to be patient with you, forgive you when you mess up, be fair to you, be nice to you, and not talk bad about you?

  • Part 1 - Why Are the Apostles So Encouraging? - Jesus Chose Them

The original 12 prove that God doesn't need intellectuals to spread the Gospel...and Paul proves that God can use an intellectual to spread the same Gospel.

Part 5: What Is Good? And Who Gets To Define It?

The inerrant Word of God gives us our “primary colors”. It also ensures us that any “secondary, tertiary, and so on” colors are consistently synthesized from person to person. If we doubt the “primaries”, we will never unify. (ref. Eph 4:11-16)

Nutrition and Ingredients Labels

The Bible not only gives us everything we need to be well-nourished, healthy disciples of Christ, it also comes with an easy-to-read nutrition and ingredients label, something I’m learning to appreciate the older I get.

>

Part 4: What is Good? And Who Gets To Define It?

The oldest trick in the book (literally) is the one that the first two humans fell for in the Garden - question God’s perfect goodness, His veracity (inability to lie), His lovingkindness, His truth.

>

Part 3: What is Good? And Who Gets To Define It?

Our God is truly good, in all His intentions and actions. He reveals Himself to man, with great grace and patience, in hopes that man repents and sees the Light of Jesus Christ, and spends eternity with Him forever.

>

Part 2: What Is Good? And Who Gets To Define It?

It is very sobering to analyze our own definitions for “good”. We might quickly realize that what we think and even act upon as “good” really isn’t. A good litmus test is to observe what we esteem/celebrate in ourselves/others.

How To Engage A Sinner

A good friend seeks to restore a “dislocated joint” in the Body of Christ, regardless of how painful the process of doing so might be.

Daily Perspective

  • A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. (Proverbs 15:1)

  • "So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls." (James 1:21 - NLT)

  • "For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18)

  • "The grass withers and the flowers fade  but the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8).

  • The words of the wise are like cattle prods--painful but helpful. Their collected sayings are like a nail-studded stick with which a shepherd drives the sheep. - Ecclesiastes 12:11 (NLT)
